Natural gas rates for May 1
Utilities Kingston has reviewed the rates for the natural gas commodity and transportation & storage.
Effective May 1, 2024:
- The commodity price for natural gas will decrease by -$0.0107 $/m3 to $0.1663 $/m3, and
- The transportation & storage price for natural gas will decrease by -$0.0139 $/m3 to $0.0649 $/m3.
The price changes will result in an estimated annual decrease of $56.58 on a typical residential bill of 2300m3 annually.
Utilities Kingston reviews its natural gas commodity and transportation and storage rates on a quarterly basis. Rates are adjusted to compensate for the difference between forecast costs and actual costs from prior periods. The next review will take place on August 1.
